Melissa Alagna
Melissa Alagna earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication, magna cum laude, from Florida International University in 2004 and her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from St. Thomas University in 2007. She graduated fourth in her law school class. While in law school, she clerked for the Honorable David M. Gersten at the Third District Court of Appeal. She received one of the highest scores of her class on the Florida Bar Examination and was invited to speak before a class of her peers during the swearing-in ceremony at the Third District Court of Appeal.

She is admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Following law school, Ms. Alagna entered the private sector working for a large law firm based in Miami, Florida. She has served as the primary associate on numerous bankruptcy and complex commercial litigation matters and has assisted in the representation of various creditor and/or trustee clients. Ms. Alagna has also worked on civil litigation matters including those involving family law, securities and real estate litigation. Ms. Alagna has worked on civil appeals in family law, commercial and bankruptcy cases.
Ms. Alagna was selected as a Rising Star in Business Litigation by Florida Super Lawyers in 2016.
