Cameron Carlyle
Cameron Carlyle is an attorney at Florida Appeals, where she focuses on appellate advocacy, legal research, and persuasive writing. She assists the firm’s attorneys in analyzing trial court records, identifying appellate issues, and drafting appellate briefs and motions in matters pending before Florida’s appellate courts.
Ms. Carlyle earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, she served as a Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy, where she developed strong legal writing, editing, and analytical skills. Her academic research examined the emotional and legal implications of profiting from online content involving children, and she was interviewed and quoted in the HuffPost for her work on the topic.
During law school, Ms. Carlyle gained substantial experience analyzing complex legal records and issues through clinical and investigative work. She participated in the Gator TeamChild Juvenile Law Clinic, helping provide free legal services to children in foster care while addressing complex legal and procedural challenges affecting vulnerable youth. She also worked in the Wrongful Convictions Clinic, where she reviewed extensive case records and investigated claims of factual innocence in support of post-conviction relief efforts.
Ms. Carlyle further developed her legal research and writing skills through judicial and government internships, including with the Honorable Wesley D. Tibbals in Florida’s Thirteenth Judicial Circuit and with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida, where she conducted legal research and assisted in drafting legal memoranda and motions.
Before joining Florida Appeals, Ms. Carlyle worked in litigation at an Am Law 200 firm, where she assisted in drafting responsive pleadings and analyzing complex legal issues in high stakes matters that frequently become the subject of appellate review. That experience provided a strong foundation in issue preservation and appellate-oriented legal analysis.
Ms. Carlyle is a member of The Florida Bar and the Appellate Practice Section of the Florida Bar.
